          Operating life: 48 hours @ -40°C (-40°F)
          IMPORTANT:

This 406MHz beacon is can be coded for different countries upon request.
If you are not an Australian citizen or company with an Australian address and contact details then you must not buy an Australian coded beacon because (as a foreign citizen) you will not be able to register it in Australia. You need to purchase a beacon that has been coded with your country nationality.
More information on this topic can be found at the Australian Maritime Safety Authority website

          GME MT400   406 MHz EPIRP

The GME MT400 406 MHz digital EPIRB is the culmination of years of extensive R & D by GME engineers. The end result is a radical new design concept that is not only a significant improvement on existing beacon performance, but dramatically slashes the cost of 406 MHz EPIRB ownership.

Advantages of a 406 MHZ EPIRB over the older analogue EPIRBs include, world wide coverage, position location accuracy to within 5 kms and a more stable transmitted signal resulting in faster response time. Most importantly, the addition of a unique digitally coded message provides Search and Rescue authorities with vital information including the country of beacon registration and identification of the vessel in distress, thus greatly reducing the incidence of false alerts and unneccesary deployment of valuable rescue resources.

An auxiliary homing transmitter is included in the MT400 to enable suitably equipped Search and Rescue vessels to home in on the distress beacon.

          RESQFIX   (with GPS)

          CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE:
Although Yachting Australia requires all crew in Category 1 and 2 ocean yacht races to carry a PLB when on deck, an EPIRB must also be carried in the yacht. Likewise, PLBs are not considered a substitute for EPIRBs when adhering to State and Territory marine regulations on the carriage of EPIRBs.

          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Put the power in the palm of your hand with ResQFix 406 Personal Locator Beacon. The smallest, lightest PLB is easily attachable to clothing and equipment, giving you peace of mind knowing it is with you at all times.

It's as easy as pushing a button, and with an internal GPS receiver the ResQFix will acquire your GPS position and transmit it along with your personalized identifier code through the COSPAS-SARSAT satellites instantly alerting Search and Rescue that you need help, immediately!

Transmits on 406 MHz via the  COPSAS - SARSAT Satellite system with your registered, unique, digitally coded distress signal and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency).

Onboard 16 channel parallel GPS acquires then transmits LAT/LON when the unit is activated, dramatically saving valuable time for your distress message to reach local rescue centers and providing rescue agencies with your exact position to within 100 meters.

The PBL is small and functional and can be easily carried in a pack or pocket, small enough to be worn on deck by yachting racers, crew, solo cruisers, and any other marine enthusiast.

Lanyard and removable holster provide functionality and allow for multiple mounting options on belt, webbing, immersion suits. Full functional self test of internal circuitry, battery voltage and power 406 MHz transmission, and GPS acquisition.
